Is there any place in which I could find rules that defines how a week-of-war exactly takes place? if not, there should be.
I voted "other" and wannabe specific: I don't think this could be solved this way, I mean with a "how many times?" question; I would like to see rules that ties clans to a set of organized fights (the 'battlefront' option is the one I like the most) with the home base system as the ultimate fortress to defend and the enemy base system as the target to assault.
Imho official clan wars must be prepared as closed server events and not as an anytime-fighting solution; otherwise it will become a shoot-at-sight competition, which will be very hard to control.

How about domination of bases. boarding actions (by docking) on stations and preventing enemy capital ships docking to retake them, for instance to claim a system a faction capital ship( maybe not the same one) must dock once every 2 hours for a 12, 24 or 48 hour period at each base in the system to simulate capturing the system bases, this would give everyone an objective to go for, or to defend against. this would require some extreme co-operation between faction members to carry out or defend against. Warnings that an boarding attack is underway would could be broadcasted to give players a heads up, then every one would have to scramble to prevent it. once a station is boarded it changes faction until it is re taken with an enemy capital ship or the two hour runs out, if you can hold it for a pre-determined length of time(longer this is the more chance the other faction has to respond) it becomes yours once you control all bases in a system that system is yours. trying to dock capital ships under fire would be hard enough to do to make it not over to quick ley and if the other faction responds trying to do it repeatedley for a few huors would be very taxing.

Time is surely the most important thing, but I don't think it would be relevant if you keep a station for 2 or 72 hours..and we don't know exactly what are the capabilities of the engine on which runs the mod, so programming all of this would be kinda hard imho. Let's move the contest from in-game to the forum board: first of all consider the staff to have a complete map of the system, which indicated the ones owned by the clans. If the clans owns a determined (one or more) sector/s, the clan leader from the attacking clan A will declare war on 2 systems (1 owned by A, 1 contended to B) with a topic into an important section , let's say "Clan Wars" if it's there.
This must be done 24/48? hours before the effective attack. If the defending clan B answers within a specified amount of time, then they can set up date/time accordingly to each others, if not then the attacking clan A will attack at date/time specified into the declaration.

Other not-in-list incursions in enemy territory will be not considered "legal" and will be ruled by the clans itselves.

One more thing: when a new clan will be created, it could born in two ways: by undertaking a system, or by setting it under their domine. The second way would verify when a clan choose a homesystem which hasn't been already taken, and takes it without fight (just because it's "free"). The first one would verify if the clan claims as a homesystem a system already owned by a clan. This case is hard and could be decided by a fight. If the clan B (defending) accepts the insurrection, they would decide a date/time and do the job. If the clan B (defending) doesn't accept, the battle will take place at date/time as in the declaration of clan A (attacking); so things goes like the normal "system fight" but with a different ending (the newborn clan owns it's first territory earning it with BLOOD  )

Note: and oh I was forgettin, I talked about system-fights but this could be done easily with planet-fight too.

Rules for the taking of a system must be defined, and Warbeast's post is a perfect point where to start.

As a reminder EA are Humans and GD are Cylons. It has always been this way.

It is a faction war, not a clan war, all humans united against all cylons united.

Yeah, always kept in mind; we were just supposing the conflict to be driven by clans actions too, to increase interaction within players. But your answer made me think about a curious question: will the Cyl/Col war be up forever? No chance of cease-fire? and how much the script of the serie will match with the new cycle?

Thanks for the interest :great:

from where i see it ...( on the voting)
others .....it must be point holder example :
human base and cylon base in the same system ...
the faction which stay's longer around the other faction base ( and keep the attackes after 3k away from the docking ring or base) so server time out befor the shoots can take affect..... like last man standing....
