Post Faction War Rules
Populated universe:
Image

Factions :
Humans = Colonials and EA, regardless of clans
Cylons = Cylons and GD, regardless of clans
[COL] [CYL] [GD] [EA] tags absolutely mandatory. Clan tags and membership are irrelevant.

War objective:

Humans fight against Cylons to control the populated universe by conquering enemy systems one by one.
Systems can be conquered or lost during a week-long 24/7 RP battle.

Battles :

Participants: everyone in the battle zone
All players can join and leave the battlezone whenever they want.

Duration : 7 days 24h/24
Start: every Monday
End: following Sunday

Location: Battle zone
A zone of 2 (or 3) systems, 1 controlled by humans, 1 controlled by Cylons.
It changes every week depending on the result of previous battle. To be announced by admins.

Primary objective: Destroy fixed targets in battle zone enemy system: battleship (battlestar or basestar), communication relay, power substation. Defend fixed targets in friendly system.

Secondary objective: Kill as many enemy ships as possible inside battle zone.

Scoring:

1 enemy fixed target destroyed = 10 points

PvP kills:
1 enemy fighter/bomber killed by fighter(s)/bomber(s) = 1 point
1 enemy battleship killed by battleship(s) = 1 point
1 enemy battleship killed by fighter(s)/bomber(s) = 10 points
1 enemy fighter/bomber killed by battleship(s) = 0 point
Self-kill or same faction kill = 1 point to the enemy (10 points if battleship)

Only destruction and PvP kills in battle zone are counted. All events in other systems are ignored.

Battle result:
At the end of the week, admins will review the server logs and calculate scores by faction.
The faction which scored the most points wins the week’s battle and gains control of the enemy system.

The following week the battle zone moves 1 system inside the territory of the loosing side and the battle starts again.

Rules of engagement (valid inside battle zone only):

- All players of enemy faction are kill on sight, no warning, no kill limit.

- It is a full scale war. All ships, weapons, equipment allowed (except Arrow of Apollo).

- Logging out or switching characters while in space in a battle zone system is strictly forbidden. Before you log out or switch char you must die, dock or jump out of the battle zone systems first.

- Do not leave your battleship docked in the battle zone system controlled by the enemy faction.

- No complaining about regenning, BS abuse, camping , spamming missiles, unfair fight…etc. Everything (within server rules) is fair in war. If you find yourself fighting alone and being constantly killed by 5 enemies, then your faction is to blame for failing to organise itself. Do what you have to do to win as a team, that’s all.

- Battle zone systems are 100% RP systems. Non-RP related conversations must be kept to an absolute minimum in system channel. Members of the same factions should use group chat. Private chat must be used for off-topic conversations.

- It is strictly forbidden to deliberately kill players of the same side in the battlezone to sabotage the scoring system. This or any action to cheat the score will lead to instant ban.

All events within the battle zone systems are logged. All offenders will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. Not knowing the rules is not an excuse.

Post Re: Faction War Rules
Clarifications:

- Factions tags are taken into account in the scoring regardless of the bracket (examples: [Cyl], {Cyl} or |Cyl|). However non-standard tags make it more difficult and increase the risk of errors, so standard brackets […] are stongly recommended.

- As stated above, you have to destroy the fixed targets in the battle zone system controlled by the enemy.
As an example: Hasari is originally a cylon system, but if humans take control of Hasari, you must also assume that the basestars in Hasari have fallen under human control.
Therefore if the new battle zone is Hasari-Gamoray, the fixed basestars in Hasari become a target that cylons must destroy (until the cylons gain control of Hasari again).

The same happens with fixed battlestars in human systems if the system is lost to Cylons.

- Only the 3 fixed targets : battleship , communication relay and power station count as base destruction in faction war. Clan bases do not count.
