As the title says, I'm having some trouble getting into the game. Fortunately I haven't had any problems getting the game itself to run, just in a few other areas.

One thing I'm having problems with is figuring out how to use the FL multiplayer chat window. How do I get that to work? I can see other people chatting, but when I open the console with Y and try to type, nothing happens. I've never used FL multiplayer before, or any other online multiplayer system, for that matter, so any help with regards to this would be great.

Just about the only other issue I'm having may have more to do with the install than anything else. For some reason when I'm in space most, but not all, other ships, NPCs and PCs alike, don't show up aside from running lights and engine glows, although I can see my ship. However, once I land on a planet, my ship disappears aside from running lights and engine glow, too. I did a clean install of FL before installing the mod, though, so I'm not sure what's going on with it.

and as for the ship thing i used to have that aswell and it was just the games video settings so just play about with that for a bit and it should work

Wow, that is ridiculously simple...I feel kind of silly now for not figuring that out, lol.

Which settings did you change to get ships to show up?

options > performance and then i moved the detail slider about and it worked lol u might have to try a few times tho cos i had to lol

Well, this is weird. I logged on earlier today, played for a while, then left for a bit. When I tried to log back on, the server didn't show up, no matter how many times I refreshed the list. I even restarted my computer, no luck. So...what's going on?

The server was offline atm, as it was now, but it will come back online and all will be ok

To private chat, press Y and click on a nickname on the list in the left side of the window, then press Enter and the player will be selected. You can write down the player nick too.
If you are in a group, after pressing Enter use arrow keys to navigate the recipients of the chat message: one of these is Group.

I'm such a dork. In trying to make a buck, I sold most of the equipment off of my shuttle craft. If I'm just going to be grinding trade lanes for a while, then why would I need weapons or defenses? Then I bought a Viper and whatya know.. no weapons to transfer to the new hull. FML.

Could only afford to outfit 1 gun on the damned thing making missions nigh impossible. And now that my cargo hold is so much smaller, it would take nearly an hour to make enough to buy another gun.
